Electromagnetically Induced Transparency in a Two-level System via Atomic Vibration

Abstract

Atomic vibration enables to control resonant optical absorption by nonresonant drive including full transparency and amplification of resonant radiation. Mechanism is destructive interference of laser fields at resonance frequency in reference frame of vibrating atoms.
