Observation of quantum interference in an organic solid

Abstract

We observe spatial interference between frequencies ω and 3ω in fluorescence of organic chomophore in a polymer film. Interference occurs between one - and three-photon transition pathways when the chromophore has a large three -photon absorption cross section.
