Squeezing Enhancement due to Localization of Light in PBG Nonlinear Waveguides

Abstract

We study a 1D photonic band-gap nonlinear device as an optical parametric oscillator. We find that squeezed light generation is enhanced with respect to a bulk, exploiting the localization effect of this structure.
