Reshaping Periodic Light Pulses by Pulse Multiplication

Abstract

We propose a method for periodic optical pulse shaping based on superposition of time delayed, phase shifted, and weighted replicas of the original pulse train. The method is experimentally demonstrated using uniform fiber Bragg gratings.
