Abstract

Existence of dispersion-free and diffraction-free ultra-short vectorial pulsed Bessel beams is predicted in one-dimensional photonic bandgaps (PBGs) using a Wannier-function technique. Pulsed Bessel beam propagation in a GaAs layered PBG is in particular considered.
