Abstract

Using Wigner distribution functions, the time-frequency evolving mechanism of few-optical-cycle pulses nonlinearly propagated in microstructured fibers and their phase compensation by a 4-f phase compensator was analyzed. Evaluated negative dispersion of tapered-fiber-waist agreed with calculation.
