Spatio-temporal autocorrelation of ultrashort-pulse localized wavepackets

Abstract

Few-cycle localized wavepackets were generated from a pulsed Ti:sapphire laser by novel-type refractive and reflective axicons. We demonstrated direct detection of characteristic X-pulse structures of Bessel- and Mathieu-like beams in sub-10-fs range by spatio-temporal autocorrelation.
