Ultrafast dephasing and collective effects in strongly correlated systems

Abstract

Using a recent theory of the ultrafast nonlinear optical response of strongly correlated systems, I will show that correlations governed by the dynamics of the magnetoplasmon (MP) excitations dominate the four-wave-mixing (FWM) spectrum of the two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) in the Quantum Hall Effect (QHE) regime.
