Phase diagram of exciton condensates in coupled quantum wells in-plane traps

Abstract

We report degenerate exciton condensates in in-plane traps with specially designed coupled quantum wells. The measured phase diagram, size and occupation vs. both temperature and excitation density, suggests a phase transition at a few Kelvin.
