Feedback control of soliton self-frequency shift and nonlinear loss in optical fibers

Abstract

We use adaptive feedback to control the amount of soliton Raman self-frequency shift in 100 meters of optical fiber. Phase-only pulse shaping at 1.55 µm with a deformable mirror is used at the input.
