Abstract

The quantum-mechanical indistinguishability of consecutive single photons emitted by a quantum dot in a microcavity is tested through a Hong-Ou-Mandel-type two-photon interference experiment. A mean photon wavepacket overlap of 0.81 is inferred from the measurements.
