Abstract

A lead-iodide-based two-dimensional crystal (C6H13NH3)2PbI4 is a natural quantum-well system, in which excitons are tightly confined in the layer of [PbI6] octahedra sandwiched between organic barrier layers consisting of alkylammonium chains [C6H13NH3].
