Abstract

In this paper, we present an on chip wavelength division multiplexing system built in photonic crystal integrated circuit. The proposed system makes use of the theory of coupled photonic crystal waveguides to spatially filter a broadband light wave propagating through a photonic crystal integrated circuit. Numerical experiments for analyzing and simulating the system were performed using FDTD method. Results obtained using FDTD method are also validated using plane wave expansion method (PWM).
