Abstract

The energy transfer from the higher to lower freqency components of the ultra-short pulse via Raman effect is called the soliton self-frequency shift (SSFS).1 The SSFS has been observed experimentally and explained theoretically in Erdoped fibers,2 and separately, polarization rotation of the soliton has been studied in fiber lasers.3
