Abstract

Current survey in fiber-optic communication networks shows that the data demand is incredibly increasing so that hyper-Tbits/s communication capacity is required in a few years. To come up with such a demand, ultrafast optical switching technologies such as optical modulators and optical switches/routers have been intensively studied.
