Abstract

The accuracy of many high-precision experiments may be improved by using squeezed states of the electromagnetic field. A number of configurations to generate squeezing by means of nonlinear optics has been proposed. Nevertheless, effective generation of squeezed light is a formidable problem of modern quantum optics.
