Optimal control of wave packet Isotope separation

Abstract

Recent progress in femtosecond laser pulse generation has made it possible to observe and manipulate intramolecular wave packets. The shape of a laser pulse may be optimized in order to create specially tailored material wave packets, thus steering (molecular and electronic) processes to desired product channels.
