Abstract
We report experimental studies of Bose- Einstein condensed atoms, which are geared toward observation of squeezed, many-atom quantum states. Applications of these states include atom interferometry at the Heisenberg limit, where sensitivity to small phase slults scales inversely with the number of particles used in the measurement.
