Photon antibunching from a single semiconductor quantum dot at room temperature

Abstract

We report the fïrst experimental observation of photon antibunching from a single CdSe/ZnS quantum dot (QD), at room temperature. This result proves that a CdSe/ZnS QD behaves as a two-level system even at room temperature.
