Abstract

Ever since the anti-Stokes photoluminescence (ASPL) has been found in GaAs/AlGaAs asymmetric double quantum wells (ADQW) a few years ago, there have been many proposed mechanisms. Because many proposed models are based on such indirect evidences as intensity, pressure, magnetic or the temperature dependencies, the issue is still very controversial. Therefore, a conclusive direct experimental evidence of each mechanism is needed.
