Abstract

A thorough, quantitative exploration of the newly attained samples of Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) in dilute atomic gases requires tools to modify the condensate and to accurately measure its properties. We have developed Several techniques suited to current experiments on BEC and to properties of the condensate.
