Abstract

Near-field microscopy increased the spatial resolution of optical microscopy to below 50 nm, making the technique particularly interesting for the study of single semiconductor nanostructures. Here we report on the first near-field spectroscopic study of single GaAs/(AlGa)As sidewall quantum wires at room temperature.1
