Extremely Long Spin Relaxation Time in Zero Dimensional InGaAs Quantum Disks

Abstract

The spin relaxation time in InGaAs quantum disks is measured by polarization dependent time-resolved photoluminescence. The relaxation time is found to be as long as 1 nsec due to zero-dimensional quantum confinement effects.
