Abstract
Recently more attention has been focused on the development of highly nonlinear materials, especially on organic materials.1,2 Azo-dye was as a good candidate for use in resonant and nonresonant nonlinear optical applications based on the high nonlinearity and some special characteristics. In this study a new azodye-doped polymer was synthesized and some novel phenomena were observed via the degenerate four-wavemixing (DFWM) geometry. The self-diffraction signals appeared and four order signals could be observed obviously in this configuration. The two signal beams that were prohibited by the conventional DFWM theory were observed first.
