Abstract

Recently, the use of a homodyne cross-correlation scheme (HCCS) with a strong local oscillator has been proposed for the detection of squeezed light.1 Moreover, a homodyne intensity-correlation scheme (HICS) with a weak local oscillator has been found to be appropriate for detecting squeezing and anomalous moments in resonance fluorescence.2 Correlation methods of this type are useful when efficient detection of the light field is impossible.
