Abstract
Transient four-wave-mixing (FWM) experiments using a prepulse have shown that the exciton dephasing rate due to exciton↔electron-hole-pair scattering is 10 times as efficient as exciton↔exciton scattering.1 Here, we focus on the scattering of excitons with bare electrons. We have performed transient FWM and photoluminescence studies on mixed type-I-type-II GaAs/AlAs asymmetric double quantum wells.2
