Abstract

To investigate the photon echo for semiconductor quantum wells we derive multiband semiconductor Bloch equations, in which the valence-band mixing effects1 and the Coulombic many-body effects2 are taken into account. We nurnerically solve these equations for a two-pulse configuration in which the pulses travel in different directions and are time delayed with respect to one another.
