Abstract

We present what we believe to be the first experimental demonstration in the context of the Raman effect that the cross section σ and the differential cross section (dσ /dΩ) of any quantum scattering process are sensitive to the non local propertics of the photon field at the Stokes wavelength λ, such as the properties determined in a Fabry-Perot optical-plane microcavity of spacing d.1,2
