Abstract

In recent years, there has been renewed interest in the study of hydrogen halides, especially hydrogen chloride and hydrogen bromide. The simplicity of HCl and HBr makes them amenable for computation, and they are of interest to theoreticians carrying out light-heavy-light molecular reactions. The role of HCl is very poorly understood in the semiconductor etching process and is under study at different laboratories.
