Abstract
The four-wave ring mirror with parametric feedback (FWFB) gives considerable reduction in reflection threshold with respect to SBS. The FWFB-arrangement was first proposed1 and accomplished in experiments with SBS nonlinearity in photorefractive crystals2 and later in nonlinear thermal media.3 The possibility of further reduction in threshold intensities with FWFB and an additional gain in the feedback loop was proved theoretically.4
