Abstract

The broadening of SRS lines from organic liquids was reported early.1-3 The features of this phenomenon were that the broadening occurred in both sides of SRS line, and there was a periodic modulation structure over the broadening range. An explanation based on the difference frequency modulation of the induced refractive index change was suggested.3 In 1985, a super3 broadening red-shifted simulated scattering added to the SRS lines from a 7-m long benzene liquid-core wave guide system has been reported.4 The broadening mainly occurred in the red side,4 and no modulation structure has been observed. These features can not be explained by the previous theories.
