Properties of Nd3+-doped crystalline lasers pumped by an alexandrite laser

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The properties of laser emission at 1084 nm from Nd3+ in Y3AI5O12 (Nd:YA6) crystals are characterized using alexandrite laser pumping tunable from 720 to 780 nm. The narrow line laser pumping selectively interacts with absorption transitions between specific Stark components with which it is in resonance.
