Abstract
Recently, several approaches to developing soft-x-ray lasers have successfully demonstrated significant gain and intensely amplified spontaneous emission light.1 Many of them were achieved with powerful laser fusion systems, such as Nova2 and Gekko XII.3 On the other hand, simple laser systems also produced a large gain, such as the Princeton group.3,4
