Abstract

The optical Stark shifts of the Q(0) and Q(1) vibrational Raman transitions in molecular hydrogen have been investigated using a quasi-CW stimulated Raman gain spectrometer and a high-intensity, nonresonant pulsed optical field. Results include the effect of various applied field geometries on transition lineshapes and spectral shifts.
