Abstract
We report the initial results of an investigation of the multiphoton absorption process in H−. The focused output of a pulsed co2 TEA laser was intersected with an H-beam moving at relativistic velocity (β = 0.786). Photodetached electrons and H0 atoms were detected with scintillator/phototube assemblies.
