Natural Photoreceptor Proteins : Novel Molecules for Photonic Applications

Abstract

We present our recent research on photonic applications of photoreceptor proteins integrated with nanoparticles, ultrahigh-Q microresonators and neurons for ultrafast all-optical switching, computing and optogenetics-controlling the brain with light.
