Adiabatic sum frequency conversion in a tapered waveguide

Abstract

We study sum frequency conversion under rapid adiabatic passage and show that the adiabatic condition can be satisfied by tapering the waveguide along its length resulting into almost complete conversion for a broadband of wavelengths.
