Optimization of Long Period Grating at Phase Matched Turning Points for bio-chemical sensing

Abstract

This study presents optimization of long period grating for maximum sensitivity for biochemicals with refractive index range 1.3–1.4. Results indicate maximum sensitivity for LP0,12 cladding mode at grating period of 155.44 µm, in given range.
