Photonic Band Gap Analysis for Different Dielectric Materials using Plane Wave Expansion Method

Abstract

In this paper photonic band gap analysis is done using plane wave expansion method for 2D photonic crystals with square and hexagonal lattice structures. The dielectric materials are Si, GaAs, InP, GaInP, InGaAsP and AlGaAs.
