Design, Fabrication and Performance-analysis of Liquid Crystal Core Waveguides

Abstract

Liquid crystal core waveguides with polymer cladding layers, fabricated on ITO-coated glass substrate, are theoretically and experimentally analyzed. The fabricated device is shown to work as an optical switch for the TM polarization.
