Abstract
Real-time detection and sizing of single protein markers (protein molecules) are paramount interests in biosensing field. With the help of this detection, dangerous diseases such as cancers can be predicted at very early stage and this would be useful for the effective treatment. Herein, we report (i) the development of experimental setup for the fabrication of ultrasensitive nanoplasmonic-photonic hybrid biosensors for the detection of single protein molecules in real time, (ii) estimation of protein size, molecular weight and number of amino acids from the experimental signals, and (iii) efficient nanoplasmonic antennas for obtaining better S/N in the experimental results and synthesis procedures of nanoantennas.
