Study of Bridge Weigh-in-Motion using FBG Sensors

Abstract

In this paper, an FBG based Weigh-in-Motion system composed of two FBGs attached to the center tension position of two beams of a Bridge is presented. By studying the temporal response of the FBGs, the vehicle load, velocity and the distance between the wheels are measured.
