Abstract

Using surface enhanced Raman spectroscopic technique and ultrafast laser ablated plasmonic metal targets we achieved femtomolar detection of an explosive molecule 1-Nitropyrazole. Various approaches to obtain such high sensitivity for most common explosives are highlighted.
