Nanoparticle Enhanced Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy with Femtosecond Pulses

Abstract

A two-fold enhancement in the laser induced breakdown spectroscopic (LIBS) signal of a Cu sample was observed in the presence of Ag nanoparticles. LIBS studies were performed by employing 800 nm, ~50 femtosecond pulses.
