Sensitivity Enhancement of an In-Line Fiber Optic Fabry–Perot Interferometric Vibration Sensor

Abstract

A vibration sensor based on an in-line fiber optic Fabry-Perot etalon (ILFOFPE) mounted on a cantilever is designed. The sensitivity is increased by using a backing patch to mount the ILFOFPE on the cantilever beam.
