Detuning characteristics of active mode locked fibre lasers

Abstract

We investigate the pulse width deterioration of cavity modes of an active mode locked Yb:fibre ring laser. Higher order modes exhibit asymmetric RF detuning, causing an asymmetric deterioration in laser pulse width.
