Long Range Distributed Strain/Temperature Sensing Using Correlation-Coded BOTDA

Abstract

In this paper, we review the use of correlation coding techniques to improve the dynamic range of a Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analysis (BOTDA) system. Specifically, the use of Golay codes has been studied through simulations, which have also been validated experimentally.
