Early Detection of Myocardial Infarction risk factor (Myeloperoxidase) using Evanescent Wave Absorbance based Sensors

Abstract

Evanescent wave absorbance based fiber optic sensor probe of U-bent geometry was used for label-free detection of cardiac marker myeloperoxidase at 260nm. Limit of detection down to 10ng/ml was achieved with response time of 15min.
