An SP3-approximation based fully non-linear reconstruction scheme for fluorescence optical tomography

Abstract

We present a novel fully non-linear reconstruction scheme for fluorescence optical tomography wherein light propagation is modelled with the SP3 approximation to the radiative transfer equation. We evaluate the Frechet derivative required using an adjoint based approach, and numerically validate it w.r.t a finite-difference calculation. We then present preliminary reconstruction results.
