Abstract
Chalcogenide glasses are attracting significant attention in photonics due to their highly nonlinear properties and transparency in the mid-infrared. During recent years Ultrafast Laser Inscription has emerged as an unprecedented 3-dimensional photonic device fabrication technology. In my talk I will present how the ultrafast laser inscription has been exploited in the development of the photonic devices like mid-IR lasers and supercontinuum sources in the novel chalcogenide glasses.
